RHONDA HUSTON is the Chief Financial Officer for Lakewood Real Estate Solutions. Just as other members of the Solutions team have the common thread of deep experience running through their business backgrounds, so does Ms. Huston. In her role as Chief Financial Officer, lead auditor and manager for the accounting firm of Shepard, Schwartz & Harris LLP of Chicago, she had a unique vantage point from which to observe the financial activities of leading companies in the real estate industry. One of these companies was her firm’s client, Lakewood Homes, and this resulted in Ms. Huston deciding to join with Buz Hoffman as Lakewood’s CFO. The breadth of perspective and experience she had prior to joining Lakewood provides special value to the contribution she makes to Lakewood Real Estate Solutions. Ms. Huston has supervised financial reporting and consulting for firms that have built more than 13,000 homes during her career. She has notable experience in cash flow and business plan projections, financial reporting, investor relations, banking relationships, financing, capital analysis of pro formas, budgeting, analysis of rates of return, and tax and bond issues. She is a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
