KURT WANDREY, Senior Vice President of Lakewood Real Estate Solutions, is in a unique position to comment on and provide precisely what the company offers: solutions. Mr. Wandrey has nearly 40 years of problem-solving experience and leadership expertise in all areas of real estate. He developed his life-skills and leadership abilities in the U. S. Air Force where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His real estate experience is national in scope. He was instrumental in directing the planning, engineering, and building of an entire new town in Texas: 26,000 homes known as the Villages of Mountain Creek. This community would become the largest annexation in the history of Dallas. Mr. Wandrey has managed planning and development for the national home builder, Town & Country Homes, where he created 20,000 home sites in Chicago, Orlando, and Minneapolis. As a municipal planner, he drafted and helped implement comprehensive city plans, zoning ordinances, and subdivision regulations for communities in the Chicago suburbs of Carol Stream, Bolingbrook, and Orland Park. Mr. Wandrey joined with Buz Hoffman at Lakewood Homes in the 1990s and serves as Senior Vice President of Forward Planning for Lakewood Homes. In this capacity he handles acquisition, community design, and entitlement, providing more than 14,000 home sites for the company. Mr. Wandrey is a Registered Landscape Architect and has served as a board member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.
